      Lenten Yoga
with Missy Sherburne and David Manly

We invite you to practice yoga at Trinity this Lent. Join David Manly and Missy Sherburne, for a donation-based Gentle Flow Yoga Class from 4-5 pm on Sundays. Classes will be geared towards individuals of all experience levels. Bring your own yoga mat.

For class participation, we invite donations to Light A Path, an Asheville non-profit focused on bringing yoga, meditation, strength training and running to youth, the incarcerated, the unhoused, low-income community residents, and those in recovery.

David’s yoga journey started later in life when he walked into Meghan Ganser’s yoga class in 2010 at West Asheville Yoga. He completed his 200 hour alignment based Hatha Yoga training with Lillah Schwartz at One Center Yoga in 2017 and is a registered RYT-200 teacher with Yoga Alliance. He has studied with many inspiring teachers including most recently Joe Taft and is currently working on his 300 hour advanced yoga training at Asheville Yoga Center. His classes incorporate mindful alignment and breath awareness to facilitate the body’s own self healing.

Missy started on her yoga journey in 2003 with a Baron Baptiste Hot Yoga class in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Over the years, she’s studied various forms of yoga - from vinyasa to Viniyoga to restorative. A sprained ankle in 2018 brought her to a month of restorative yoga - the only exercise allowed by her doctor - and a realization that yoga was the one form of movement she could engage in through her entire life. This realization led to a desire to deepen her own personal practice. In 2019, Missy pursued the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Asheville Yoga Center and received certification through Yoga Alliance.

We can’t wait for you to join us on this journey!
