      Koloa Plantation Days

Celebrate the plantation heritage and modern-day vitality of Koloa, Kauai during this 10-day family oriented festival held the last two weekends in July and the week in between on Kauai's sunny south shore. Each year highlights a different theme. Founded in 1835, Koloa Plantation was Hawaii's first sugar plantation, where laborers from Asia and Europe lived together in plantation camps sharing the foods, music, stories, and traditions of their homelands. Koloa Plantation Days brings visitors and residents together at over 30 events including live music,"talk stories", cultural and keiki activities, area hikes, historic exhibits, the Koloa Plantation Days rodeo, craft fairs, a Family Fun Run and the annual Parade and Park Celebration, now celebrating its 35th year.
